Feelin' Crafty!

So I've seen a lot of projects/crafts that have been done with magazines and I have done some in the past.
Like these:

It really is fun and pretty easy to do. It is just VERY time consuming! The heart, by the way, is STILL not finished. HAHA!

On to the next project!

I ran into these coasters on pintrest a week or so ago, and I decided, oh what the heck! I won't be working during the week anymore and have some free time to do some stuff and hopefully sell them on Etsy or Ebay. So here is my pinspiration! Along with the instructions I used :D

So once I got as far as the tutorial goes, I decided to use Mod Podge to seal them.

And here is the Matte finish :)

After this, my plan was to simply use the glaze spray and be done with it, but somehow glitter ended up on my hands and BAM it hit me. GLITTEEEEEER!!!

Once your mod podge coat is dry, I sprayed a coat of the glaze on, waited a few minutes and sprinkled glitter onto the coaster. Tap off the excess and let dry. After the glitter I did 2 more coats of the spray glaze.

And here is the final product. I made 4 of them! :)

If you make some, send me a picture! Have fun!

I admit it, I am officially addicted to Pintrest. The things you see on there, so clever, practical, and so super creative. It makes me feel like I can't come up with anything on my own! This is the first craft that I've finished from my pins! I made these cute little bracelets! They were so easy to make and inexpensive! I'm going to be selling them on ebay because I think people will enjoy these! Perfect for summer!

MOVING ALONG

So today we made the big announcement that baby number 2 is on the way! We were going to wait to tell our parents on mothers day, but I got too impatient and excited! Baby is due December 15,2012. Super excited!

We have quite a few things going on this year. We are in the process of moving into my husband's grandparent's house. It's a beautiful home, HUGE, but it does need many things fixed. This summer is going to be amazing! We have a big backyard and I have so many plans! Vincent got a swing set for his birthday, we're going to get a fire pit, we will have a little picnic area. I really can't wait!

My parents are coming to visit from MS in JUNE. So we have to get the house in order! They will be here for a few days and Vince and I might go back with them for a few weeks! FUN FUN FUN!

So many things I need to do! but I feel so blessed to have my family and to be carrying a little baby once again! This will be great! I REALLY can't wait for this summer!

Who is KONY?

Last night, as always, I couldn't fall asleep to save my life. So I was doing what I always do after hours of laying in bed without falling asleep. I was creeping on Facebook. I noticed a friend of mine had posted a link to a video on youtube and natually I don't watch them but then I saw other people posting the same link. I was curious. What is this Kony thing? Probably some stupid song or dance going viral on the interwebs. So I clicked on it. The first thing I thought was, 'THIRTY MINUTES?!' ok. This HAS to be good. So I started to watch the story of Jacob and many other children in Africa abducted by this sick, sick man. For over twenty years this man has been abducting children from their homes in Uganda. He kills their families, forces them to kill their own parents, and the girls are turned into sex slaves.
To watch the video click HERE

I had no idea. Really, how could somebody be doing this ANYWHERE without the whole world knowing about it? Now that I do know about it, I've read blogs and articles about this guy and I've learned that he's not the only one doing this! There are people doing this all over the world! How can people let this happen?! It truly makes me sick. Why would anybody do this? How can they get away with it? Why can't they find this guy? Why don't the people in the villages carry guns or knives at least? Where is the POLICE or armed forces when his rebels raid villages?

This monster's name is Joseph Kony. He is the leader of the L.R.A. (Lord's Resistance Army) Kony has been getting away with this for over 20 YEARS! I couldn't believe this. The video itself was inspiring. It tells a story of a man and how he wants his son to understand that Kony is a very bad man and he needs to be stopped. He wants his son to grow up and live in a world of peace. Just like everyone else. This little boy obviously doesn't understand because he is only 5 years old. His father, the narrator in the video, said he didn't want to tell him exactly what he does to the children because it would be too much for little Gavin to understand. The video concludes with the narrator telling us we can make a change on April 20, 2012. The Invisible Children organization is going "Cover the City" with as many posters as possible. Not to celebrate Kony but to make him known to the world so in turn more people join in the fight for justice and peace.

We need to open our eyes and see that this is happening in other countries also. We take things for granted, we're selfish, we're all in our own little worlds where it's only us and everything is fine and dandy because we have the luxury of security and while not everyone is rich, most of us have enough money to live a comfortable lifestyle. This has to come to an end.

I think it's time that everyone stop being selfish and come together for a cause such as this. This is what brings people together and this is how we can gain control of our lives once again! The government is so messed up. They control EVERYTHING you can see, say or do. YES there are far more things wrong in our country but right NOW, this is something we can take control of and something WE CAN DO! If we can come together for this cause right now, we will be stronger and closer together as a community, as a state, and as a country! If we can do everything we can and support this organization to keep OUR government aware of Kony and others alike, we can overcome this! If we can help bring Kony to justice in AFRICA, we can do so much more after coming together HERE in OUR country, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

Reincarnation

Reincarnation.

I know a lot of people say it's just crap and they don't believe any of it. I myself was never against the idea but I was never really convinced until today.
Now, this may be a little creepy and you guys might not believe a single word of it but that is ok! i just wanted to share this experience.

So I was laying on the couch watching Just Go With it again and I fell asleep. Yes, this is a dream people.

The first thing I remember was being on a boat and there was other people and other boats. I don't know where we were but there was some crazy waves and a storm and something crazy happened. Somehow I had been thrown out of the boat and I was swept away by the water into a huge house!! The water was rushing into the house and I was holding on to a shelf and jumping to another one and finally getting behind a closet like door with a staircase going up.

So then the water disappears and it's dark. I saw christmas lights flashing on and of and I was sitting up against the wall and a little girl comes in the room and she is just staring straight at me!!

At this point I have no idea who I am, what I'm doing in these people's house! (which was beautiful by the way!) So I'm sitting there I guess hiding. and this little girl is just staring me down and she nudges her dad who was facing the other way and she pointed to me and he must have not seen me because he had no reaction.

Then it jumped to day time and I was still sitting in the same spot and the little girl comes in with her mom and her mom took a picture of her sitting right next to me. but this time she didn't see me. None of them did! and so her mom took the picture and she was in shock. somehow I saw what she saw on the camera screen. The picture of the little girl and an orb right next to her. Then the mother said. wow that's sasha. As soon as she said that, something made it known to me that that little girl was my little sister and they were my family. I died. That's why the couldn't see me.

I really don't know how I knew that but I did! That's why it was so super creepy! I woke up and I didn't even feel like myself. I was in such a deep sleep!

I don't know where this came from. It really creeped me out!!

So what do you think about reincarnation??

Baby Gone Bad

So today, Daddy was laying on the floor (with a blanket on his face), I was sitting down and Vin Vin is roaming around playing with dad and toys. So he grabs this snail with a mirror thing and as soon as I saw him pick it up, I knew he was going to drop it on daddy! I couldn't get the words out of my mouth in time and WHACK!

He dropped it on daddy's elbow!!

OH man was he mad. haha It was really red! and it might have even bruised!

What a cheeseball.
